Rain Delays!

Sometimes it rains. Sometimes it rains a LOT! The Gunpowder Falls was flowing at a cool 700 cfps yesterday and was pretty much unfishable. I had two days of fishing int he works and had to scrap my plans.

Leaning over the dam you could get a good sense of the power of all that water crashing down. The rumble is pretty cool.

Downriver the water was nasty chocolate milk.

I was spending my unexpected day off at the dog park when I realized it was Bike To Work Day so I dusted off my neglected bike and went down to Freedom Plaza and caught up with old friends. I got a great shot of the Mayor chilling with Abe in a bike rickshaw. It's a good day to clean the house and work on my knitting and get caught up on paperwork.

Maybe even tie some flies! Keep your stick in the wool and wear your helmet! There's a lot of bikes out there today and not everyone knows what their doing. - micah
